Information on Local Trust Committee

What is a Local Trust Committee (LTC)?
The Government requires that each school has a management team (a governing body). This team is made up of the various stakeholders that the school serves -  parents and trust.  LTC members are either elected or appointed.

What does the LTC do? 
The LTC works in partnership with the headteacher, staff, parents, Derby Diocesan Academy Trust and the Local Authority to raise standards of achievement in the school, led by the Chair of Governors.
The main functions of the governing body are to:

• provide a strategic view
• act as a critical friend
• ensure accountability
