RE Intent and Implementation
Intent
The vision of Sale and Davys School is firmly embedded in a Christian Narrative and is rooted in an enquiry based approach to learning. ‘To love learning and remain inquisitive.’ Religious Education is a key element of this. It provides children with a safe space where they can express their ideas and ask life’s big questions. We aim, through carefully planned teaching sessions to furnish children with the knowledge and understanding required for them to contribute positively in the diverse and multicultural world of today.
Implementation
• RE lessons are enquiry based in their structure and approach.
• RE Lessons are driven by learning outcomes with clear progression taken from the Progression Grids.
• Children’s learning of the Christian faith is enhanced and furthered through Collective Worship experiences.
• Regular visits to places of Worship enhance children’s understanding of different faiths.
